"I invited Suzanne to run a workshop at my school. She gave us inspiration as well as practical teaching ideas and cues. I would recommend Suzanne to any organisation wanting to increase their understanding of yoga, as well as positive, mindful practices." - Andy Dutton, UNIS
For Teachers, Parents and Caregivers
You do not need to be a yoga teacher to teach kids. Anyone can take this course and share yoga and mindfulness with children. Although the full training is composed of three modules, one course is enough to help you on your way and give you plenty of resources to begin sharing yoga & mindfulness practices with children. Share helpful tools with kids to help them handle the daily trials and tribulations of being a kid.
For Yoga Teachers
If you are already a yoga teacher and are interested to teach children, you will find that it requires a very different approach from teaching adults. The focus is on building rapport, engagement, motivation, and dialing up the fun factor. Kids benefit more from a “show me, don’t tell me” style of instruction and this course provides you with plenty of age-appropriate techniques, activities, games, and challenges to help you connect with children on their level.
Suzanne was the first person to offer kids yoga in Vietnam at her studio, Saigon Yoga, over 13 years ago. She has had the privilege of training teachers at a United Nations School, was the in-house yoga instructor for one of Vietnam's top international schools (Australian International School), and she set up the foundational Mindfulness Program at the International School of Ho Chi Minh City. Suzanne develops tailored mindfulness programs and leads trainings for schools wanting to bring more peace, focus and harmony onto their campuses.
